Hockey is a team sport where each team has 11 players. Players use a  hockey stick where the end  – has 2 faces –  one flat and one convex. Players can only hit the ball with the flat side. Teams score by hitting the ball into a goal.

The history of Hockey can be traced back to ancient Greece. It was later spread  to Britain, where it developed into the game we know today. In Hong Kong, Hockey is  majorly played by European, Indian and Pakistani in the early stage, it was popular in international schools.

Sharing & Feedback

This year’s new beginner class has been challenging as the students come from different backgrounds and some have special education needs. It required patience and communication instead of just straightforward instructions. Overall, it has been a very good experience for me.

For the advanced class, I hope that students will develop team spirit through hockey. As they play together in more races with ups and downs, I think they are starting to understand to win they need to stand together as a team.

-Kitty, Coach

Thanks to very attentive coaches, Po Yuen has become far more disciplined since joining. This has led to improvements in studying. He is now far more able to control himself in classes and study independently at home.
