The Fly High Together Charity Sports Programme
The 15th National Games: Shenzhen Exchange Tour 2025 Concluded Successfully

The Fly High Together Charity Sports Programme – the 15th National Games: Shenzhen Exchange Tour 2025, fully sponsored and supported by Tencent Foundation and Gaw Capital’s People’s Place, and organised by IHKSports, successfully concluded in late November in Qianhai, Shenzhen. The immersive two-day, one-night itinerary provided 34 students with an unforgettable and enriching experience.
Igniting Sports Passion and Fostering Cross-Border Bonds
Sports experiences were a major highlight of the tour. At the Shenzhen NBA Hoop Park at K11 ECOAST, students received professional coaching, participated in basketball training, and engaged in friendly matches, fostering team spirit. They then teamed up with local youth groups at the Qianhai Ice and Snow World to explore the fun of indoor skiing, successfully using sport as a universal language to promote communication and integration between the youth of both places.

Deepening National Identity and Returning Home Enriched
As night fell, the students joined local residents to watch the live broadcast of the Closing Ceremony of the 15th National Games, which inspired a deep sense of national pride. By combining physical activity with learning and cultural exchange, this tour successfully deepened the students’ understanding of the country and their sense of national identity and belonging, while reigniting their passion for sports.

Valuing Innovation, Learning, and Sports Exchange
The itinerary also focused on Innovation Technology and Urban Blueprints. Students visited the Low-Altitude Economy Industry Public Service Centre and the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub, broadening their understanding of the Greater Bay Area’s industry development and opportunities. They also toured landmarks such as the Qianhai Exhibition Hall, the Qianhai Kerry Centre, and the Qianhai Stone Park to gain a systematic overview of Qianhai’s grand development blueprint.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Tencent Foundation, Gaw Capital’s People’s Place, and all supporting units for making this transformative experience possible.

WELL DUNK! Learning Activities Day

The 7th season of the WELL DUNK! Public Estate Basketball League and Training Programme, supported by our Strategic Partner and Sponsor, Lee Hysan Foundation, remains committed to the holistic development of WELL DUNK! students, going far beyond basketball training and competitions. In late November, we hosted our first two-day WELL DUNK! Learning Activities Day, attracting over 230 participants to a vibrant day of learning.
Skill Lab
Coaches from Pegasus Kin Lung and Hong Kong Eastern delivered tailored, position-specific training sessions. Players not only received top-tier professional guidance but also forged new friendship and shared experiences with peers from across different teams.
Social Media Interactive Workshop
One of our team title sponsors, PressLogic, brought in social media experts to lead engaging workshops, sharing practical tips to help students express themselves confidently online through content creation and building their personal digital presence.
Community Connections
One Bite Design Studio, the visionary team behind Kai Yip Recreation Centre, guided participants through an interactive exploration of the design stories woven into their estates and basketball courts, deepening their appreciation for their neighbourhood and strengthening their sense of belonging.
Practical First Aid Training
St. John Ambulance conducted a three-hour basic first aid course, teaching essential life-saving techniques, from CPR to managing common sports injuries. Through the training, our players can protect themselves and others both on and off the court.
This event perfectly embodies WELL DUNK!’s mission to nurturing well-rounded young people through sports. Looking ahead, we will continue rolling out diverse, impactful activities, supporting our players as they soar on the court and stride confidently forward in life.

“FENCING Inspires!”
Upcycled Toys and Handmade Soap Workshop

We have successfully launched 20 long-term sports training classes under our MOVE70! curriculum across 12 districts in Hong Kong this year, bringing the joy of sports to over 350 underprivileged primary students. Covering 10 diverse sports types, including dance, korfball, fencing, and more, the classes are now in full swing. Each class provides 60 hours of sports training while incorporating an additional 10 hours of learning experience activities, competitions or performances, and assessments, supporting well-rounded development.
At the end of November, students from “FENCING Inspires!“ took part in their first learning experience activity: a fun and meaningful upcycled toys and handmade soap workshop. Guided by skilled instructors, the students transformed different recycled materials and natural ingredients into one-of-a-kind mini basketball shooting machine and beautifully scented handmade soap bars.
Through hands-on creation, they discovered the magic of upcycling, deepened their environmental awareness, and unleashed their creativity—all while contributing to a more sustainable future.

IHKSports Badminton Wellness Day

This month’s Staff Wellness Day was a blast! 27 colleagues headed to the badminton courts at Youth Outreach Hangout for an afternoon of fun, fitness, and team bonding.
We were delighted to have Mavis Fung—2025 BWF World Senior Championships 40+ Women’s Singles bronze medalist, former Hong Kong, China badminton team representative, and our Senior Programme Manager—as our coach. Mavis expertly taught the rules and key techniques, getting everyone game-ready in no time.
The team tournament was the highlight: courts buzzed with cheers, laughter, and fierce (but friendly) competition.
This Badminton Wellness Day gave everyone a break from work, a chance to work up a good sweat, and the perfect opportunity to unwind. More importantly, it brought us closer together, strengthened our bonds, and left the whole team feeling refreshed, re-energised, and even more connected.
