Our Sports ComeUnity Promotional Scheme, under the Fly High Together Charity Sports Programme, was recently recognised at the “Connecting Hearts Social Welfare Good Stories 2025” Awards Ceremony! The scheme has been awarded as one of the five “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay Area Collaborative Social Welfare Projects”.

Orientation Days for the 7th Season of the WELL DUNK! Public Estate Basketball League and Training Programme

The 7th season of the WELL DUNK! Public Housing Estate Basketball League and Training Programme officially kicked off in early October with great excitement. We received over 1,000 applications this season, with more than 700 participants accepted in the first phase. They were assigned to 28 boys’ teams and 8 girls’ teams.
The Orientation Days were held on 4 October at the basketball courts of Fu Shan Estate and Shek Lei Estate, on 5 October at Shatin Racecourse basketball courts, and on 11 October at TKO Spot rooftop basketball court.
This event marked the energetic start of another impactful season, empowering youth through sports. Students collected their training jerseys and gear on the day and also listened to briefings by IHKSports staff on the programme activities and training schedule, met their new coaches and teammates, and completed their first training session. Regular training for the first phase has now begun!
We are grateful to the representatives from team title-sponsors who were present to show support, interacting with the students on the day, and wishing them a fulfilling season of basketball.
The programme has received support from various organisations and team title-sponsors over the years. In the 7th season of WELL DUNK!, we are happy to welcome Lee Hysan Foundation as the programme’s Strategic Partner and Sponsor for the next three seasons, injecting new elements into the WELL DUNK! programme.
Together, we aim to build a basketball platform that nurtures the growth of youth!

A series of Tencent Family Sports Days under the Fly High Together Charity Sports Programme concluded successfully

The second year of the Fly High Together Charity Sports Programme, fully sponsored and supported by the Tencent Foundation and Gaw Capital’s People’s Place, held its last Tencent Family Sports Day at Lai Kok Shopping Centre on 28 September, attracting over 300 participants.
The market area featured two brand-new parent-child sports art workshops: “Plush Ball Painting” and “Wooden Table Tennis Blade”, which drew enthusiastic sign-ups from families and fostered parent-child interaction and communication.
Meanwhile, the home exercise zone offered Chair Yoga and Kung Fu Fan exercises, enabling residents to easily learn safe at-home workout techniques. In addition to the classic Sport Stacking challenge, the game booths introduced a new boxing sandbag experience zone, allowing participants to unleash their energy and enjoy the exhilaration of full-body movement.
A series of Tencent Family Sports Days has now concluded successfully! We look forward to organising more such events in the future to encourage the public to embrace the joy of sports, bring sports culture to the community, foster youth sports integration, and create a positive and fervent sports atmosphere among the public.

Investing in Growth: Professional Development at IHKSports

We are thrilled to share that our Fundraising and Communications Manager, Yu Ting, has successfully completed the rigorous HKU-UBS Sustainable and Social Innovation Leadership Programme (SSILP) as part of its 2025 cohort.
The programme culminated in a Final Pitching Day at the UBS Auditorium, where Yu Ting presented “The SportLight Challenge” — a project designed to empower underprivileged youths through a transformative sports journey. The initiative proposes immersive training in windsurfing and dragon boating, culminating in a final televised competition, fostering resilience, teamwork, and confidence.
This intensive six-month course was a profound opportunity for learning and connection. Yu Ting engaged with leading social innovators and gained fresh perspectives on scaling social impact. We have no doubt that Yu Ting will bring back a powerful combination of enhanced skills and innovative ideas, and apply them to our programme design, further enriching the sports journeys of the thousands of underprivileged children, youth, and families we serve.
