Daniel Larner @Executive Sports Challenge

With the return of our IHKSports Executive Sports Challenge this fall season, we are thrilled to introduce one of our challengers – Mr. Daniel Larner!

With their family preparing to welcome a baby brother this December, Daniel and his son Luke have decided to take on a special family challenge of cross-country skiing — not by traveling to the Nordics, but by using the Ski-Erg they have at home! This fun challenge will help them practise teamwork, stay active, and build anticipation for the big arrival!

Dan shares, “We set the distance at a point that will really push us, requiring a workout for every day remaining in 2025 in order to reach our combined goal, which is 800KM (from Hong Kong to Taiwan)! Put into perspective it will take around 8km every day for the rest of the year, which is at least 40 minutes non stop skiing per day.

We would love for you to follow our progress, and if you can spare a donation to InspiringHK Sports Foundation it will help children across Hong Kong access sports that build confidence, introduce them to a healthy lifestyle mindset and perhaps uncover the next aspiring future Olympians!

Along the way we may introduce some guest skiers to ensure we hit our target, so if you’re invited to our house for dinner, bring your sportswear as you may need to ski 4-5kms to ‘earn’ your dinner.
