“SET” Model

IHKSports has entrusted Fullness Academy to design the impact measurement model, known as “SET”, in consultation with Dr. Sammy Ho and Mr. Yeung Siu Wing from Hong Kong Baptist University. The “SET” model is designed with reference to internationally recognised questionnaires and is used to collect quantitative results from participants to assess the programme’s impact.

Core outcomes include:
Sportsmanship: respecting rules and striving for excellence
Emotion & Motivation: fostering resilience and well-being of the participants
Teamwork: enhancing peer support, coordination and cooperation among participants

To measure the core outcomes, the “SET” questionnaire is developed based on the following valid and published scales in the relevant social sciences disciplines:

  1. The Multidimensional Sportspersonship Orientations Scale
  2. Sport Motivation Scale
  3. Unidimensional 10-item Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale
  4. Multidimensional Assessment of Teamwork in Sport

In addition, we arrange focus groups to collect feedback from participants and produce videos to showcase the qualitative results of the programme.

Although the participants in the flagship programme (WELL DUNK! Public Estate Basketball League and Training Programme) and the creative social projects [(Sports LinkVenture (those who participated in Part 2: Link with Nature (Intermediate) and Part 3: Link the City Relay Challenge); Youth Run Ventures] did not participated in the MOVE70! Curriculum itself, the key programme components were very similar, and each participant completed at least 30 hours of activities.

Therefore, participants from these programmes also completed the “SET” questionnaire to measure their learning outcomes.
