Introduction
Funded by The Swire Group Charitable Trust and coordinated by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, the “Building Community, Building Tung Chung” Programme has been running in Tung Chung since 2020. Through the collaborative effort of NGOs, schools and corporate partners, a series of activities focused on family, sports, play, youth career development and social inclusion are offered to the Tung Chung community.
The third phase of the project is focused on strengthening community connections and optimising community resources to encourage mutual help, and strive to create a more inclusive and cohesive Tung Chung community. InspiringHK Sports Foundation as one of the project partners, aims to empower Tung Chung youths and children through various sports initiatives, including long-term sports training, organising community family sports day, and a Tung Chung community walkathon and carnival.
