Introduction

InspiringHK! Sports TRYiumph Project, launched in 2023, is a three-year sports programme funded by the Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation and a matching fund from the Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged.

The programme covers three components including offering a sports programme for special schools, parent-child sports classes for special educational needs (SEN) students, and organising a SEN Community Day. Our goal is to cater to students with special educational needs and their families by offering diversified sports classes and activities to help them cultivate healthy habits and strengthen family bonds.

Testimonial

  • This is a great programme where parents and children can attend classes together, and there are also sessions for moms to participate freely. Additionally, SEN children can learn in a pleasant and safe environment with their peers, without worrying about discrimination. The programme allows everyone to experience various New sports. The two regular instructors are very professional, giving parents peace of mind that their children are learning in a safe environment. We hope for an extension of the programme 2.0 and will definitely participate!

  • Thanks to the Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation for sponsoring this parent-child balance exercise class, which has given me the long-awaited opportunity to participate in a yoga class. It helps alleviate my emotions and stretch my body, allowing me to experience the benefits of yoga for the first time. Meanwhile, my child is taking a boxing class nearby, which allows me to truly enjoy yoga without worry, while my child gets to experience a new sport. I hope more people can benefit from this service in the future.

  • Children with SEN face various inherent limitations, such as attention deficits and learning disabilities, which can make daily schoolwork exhausting both physically and mentally. By collaborating with InspiringHK to host the TRYiumph programme, we provide children with an opportunity to release academic pressure through sports, while parents can stretch and relieve stress simultaneously. The parent-child sports sessions promote positive interactions between parents and children, enhancing their relationship and overall well-being.
