The 9th Asian Winter Games recently took place in Harbin, Heilongjiang and for the very first time, IHKSports sponsored 20 students from our core programme, the MOVE70! Long-term Sports Training Programme, to Harbin to witness the Asian Winter Games and participate in other exciting learning activities.
Our students had the chance to watch the spectacular Asian Winter Games firsthand and participate in various winter sports tasters and cultural exchange activities, immersing themselves in the unique charm of Harbin, also known as the “Ice City”. Through this trip, they gained deeper insights into the nation’s latest advancements in sports and culture.
During the trip, our students were honoured to meet with Mr. John Lee, the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, while cheering for Team Hong Kong, China, during the women’s ice hockey match. This unique interaction made the experience truly unforgettable. Additionally, we organised an inspiring sharing session by Ms. Li Xin, our national cross-country skiing star athlete, who shared her incredible journey of perseverance and success. Her story deeply motivated the students, encouraging them to boldly pursue their dreams.
