The IHKSports Scholarship for Continuing Training

Our Objectives
IHKSports is committed to providing at least 30 hours of sports training to underprivileged youth. To further assist outstanding IHKSports alumni, we have set up The IHKSports Scholarship for Continuing Training for them to keep on pursuing their goals and passion in sports.
Overview
The Scholarship will disburse a maximum of HK$4,800 for awardees in a 14-month period. The Scholarship can only be used for disbursing regular sports programmes* from other sports organisations/clubs (including registered and accredited institutions other than those partnered with IHKSports; programme duration must be at least five months). Each eligible alumnus may only receive this scholarship once and is not eligible to reapply after being awarded.
*Regular programmes refer to weekly or monthly ongoing training sessions.
Eligibility
Applicants must have completed at least 30 hours of sports training with IHKSports (E.g. All “MOVE70!” Curriculum, “WELL DUNK!” Public Estate Basketball League & Training Programme and “Sports LinkVenture”) and must not be participating in IHKSports programmes in the upcoming year. Applicants of any age, nationality, religion, or race are welcome, provided the following financial AND non-financial criteria are met.

From a household beneficiary of the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme
Applicants have shown outstanding sports performance or potential in IHKSports classes
Be a beneficiary of the School Textbook Assistance (TA) Scheme
Applicants have shown excellent attendance record
From a household beneficiary of the Working Family Allowance (WFA) Scheme
Applicants have shown good communications skills and proactivity
Live in poverty and referred by a registered social worker/an NGO
Applicants have demonstrated eagerness to improve
Application Procedures
Applications are accepted year-round.
Phase 1

Scholarship Disbursement
Maximum subsidy: HK$ 4,800
Applicants may enroll in programmes with costs exceeding this amount; however, reimbursement will not exceed HK$ 4,800.
Disbursement Phases:
- Phase 1: up to HK$ 1,600
- Phase 2: up to HK$ 3,200
The Scholarship disbursement, by cheque, and must be collected in person.
Awardees are required to submit all relevant documents before the deadline. IHKSports will handle and dispatch scholarship instalments in three specific months every year for administrative convenience.

- 3–4 clear training photos (showing participant’s face)
- Learning report (detailing experiences and personal improvement)
Important Notes
- Late submissions or missing documents may lead to disqualification
- The Scholarship must be collected in person
