“Legacy in the Waves: Alex Fong Hong Kong–Macau Charity Swim 2026” Press Conference

Marking two months to the “Alex Fong Hong Kong–Macau Charity Swim 2026”, IHKSports hosted a Kick-off Press Conference at Olympian City 2. Officiating guests joined Alex Fong on stage for the launch ceremony.
This charity swim is far more than a 35km physical test; it is a steadfast promise to the next generation. Through Alex’s journey, we aim to demonstrate the transformative power of sports.
All funds raised will directly provide underprivileged and SEN students with equal access to sports training, equipment, and development:
- HK$100: Provides 1 underprivileged student with a full year of basic sports gear
- HK$500: Sponsors 1 student with SEN to receive a full term of professional sports training
- HK$1,000: Sponsors 2 underprivileged students to participate in a year of professional basketball training and league matches
We cordially invite you to support Alex’s extraordinary journey, turning compassion into action to create sustainable, positive change for the next generation.
Join us as a “Support Swimmer” to back Alex’s challenge while securing critical sports resources for underprivileged youth and SEN children, giving them equal opportunities to unlock their potential.
Every contribution serves as a crucial cornerstone in a child’s journey. Together, let’s empower every child and youth to be seen, supported, and celebrated!

InspiringHK! Sports TRYiumph Project: Empowering SEN Students & Families and Uniting Communities Across Three Years

Co-funded by the Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation and the Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged, and organised by IHKSports, the InspiringHK! Sports TRYiumph Project has successfully concluded. The programme aimed to provide structured sports training and diverse inclusive activities for students with special educational needs (SEN) and their families, fostering healthy lifestyle habits while using sports as a bond to strengthen family unity. Over its three-year run, the initiative cumulatively benefited over 5000 SEN students and families.

Under the “Sports Programme for Special Schools”, we have partnered with 16 special schools, reaching over 570 students with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and social development needs. The cornerstone component, the sports classes, delivered 20 hours of progressive after-school sports training, introducing emerging sports such as darts, balloon volleyball, dodgebee, and pickleball. Our professional coaches guided students to enhance their physical fitness and sports skills, unlock athletic potential, and cultivate self-confidence, social skills, and teamwork. Additionally, the programme actively engaged families through parent-child sports days, emerging sports experiences, and outings, extending an active lifestyle from school into daily family life.

To prioritise caregiver well-being and deepen family bonds, we actively rolled out the “Parent-Child Sports Classes for SEN Students”. Partnering with an extensive community network across Hong Kong, the programme launched 37 classes across 17 districts, benefiting 864 participants. The curriculum featured parallel sessions for parents and children, joint sports classes, home-based fitness challenges, and a cross-district graduation ceremony. This dual-track approach enabled students to enhance their physical and social skills while offering caregivers dedicated space to relieve stress, culminating in a formal stage that celebrated student growth and achievement.

Marking the grand finale of this three-year journey, we hosted its flagship SEN Community Day at Hopewell Mall in Wan Chai. The public event featured a retrospective exhibition highlighting the project’s long-term community impact, interactive AR sports installations, and parent-child adaptive sports workshops. To offer professional insights and inspiration, the event hosted a sports information keynote Seminar by the Hong Kong Special Needs Sports Institute and a practical health seminar by Watsons, alongside special athlete sharing sessions by retired Hong Kong Wheelchair Badminton Athlete Mr. Daniel Chan Ho-yuen, MH, and Hong Kong’s top bowler Mr. Wu Siu-hong, further demonstrating the unifying power of sports for communities of all abilities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation, the Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged, participating schools, and partner organisations for their steadfast support. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to advancing sports equity and social inclusion, creating lasting opportunities for youth of all abilities to be seen, recognised, and empowered.
“Jebsen InspiringHK!” Home SWEAT Home programme 2025–26: Promoting Community Wellbeing and Supporting Underprivileged Families

Funded by Jebsen Group and organised by IHKSports, the “Jebsen InspiringHK! Home SWEAT Home 2025–26” programme supported 129 participants across 59 underprivileged families this year. Through structured sports training, Chinese medicine health seminars, and community engagements, the programme empowers underprivileged youth and families to build regular exercise habits and improve physical fitness, while strengthening family bonds and community cohesion to foster holistic physical and mental well-being for underprivileged families.

We have hosted a Family Sports Day and Graduation Ceremony at Diamond Hill Water Feature Park, encouraging families to embrace the outdoors while celebrating the participants’ achievements over the past year. Despite unpredictable weather, the enthusiasm of the attending families remained high as parents and children fully engaged in every competition, demonstrating impressive teamwork and energy. To recognise their dedication to building healthy habits through regular exercise, participants were presented with certificates, commemorative badges, and gift packs.

Beyond sports activities, the programme extended its care into the community through a Home Visit Day. The team visited beneficiary families to better understand their living conditions and daily needs while delivering care packages. Many families shared that the parent-child strengthened family bonds and helped them establish regular exercise habits, seamlessly incorporating a healthier lifestyle into their daily routines.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jebsen Group for its generous sponsorship, which enables us to continuously promote healthy living and parent-child sports across the community. We are equally grateful to our partner organisations for their thoughtful collaboration, and to all participating families for their support. Together, we are building a healthier and more vibrant future for our community.

The “Moving” Pictures’ Reading Session cum Sharing by Athletes concluded successfully

The “Moving” Pictures’ Reading Session cum Sharing by Athletes, funded by the Funding Scheme for Children’s Well-being and Development of the Commission on Children, and organised by IHKSports recently concluded with remarkable success. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to over 200 parents and children for joining us to explore key growth topics and foster holistic youth development through reading, sport, and athletic sharing.
Centering on IHKSports’s original picture books, “The Strongest Courage” and “A Pink Like No Other”, the event integrated parent-child co-reading, interactive sports experiences, and inspirational sharing by athletes. It led children and parents on a storytelling journey to embrace courage, perseverance, self-acceptance while fostering a strong sense of self-confidence.
We extend special thanks to our four distinguished athlete guests for taking the time to share their inspiring personal journeys and invaluable life lessons:

Mr. Ben Ho — Bronze Medalist at the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and Founder of The Spark Taekwondo
Ms. Ma Kwan Ching — Windsurfing Athlete of Hong Kong, China
Ms. Leung Kwan Yi — Athletics Athlete of Hong Kong, China
Ms. Cheuk Ting — Women’s Basketball Athlete of Hong Kong, China
Drawing upon their personal journeys, the guest speakers inspired young participants to face setbacks with resilience and embrace their unique potential. Supported by guided story readings and interactive activities led by IHKSports volunteers, the event fostered a highly engaging, inspiring and dynamic learning environment for all.

To extend this positive impact into daily life, every participant received a complimentary bilingual hardcover picture book, fostering a passion for reading and active living within their homes. Thank you to all the guests, parents, children, and volunteers for their vibrant participation and shared dedication to empowering youth through sports and literacy.
