Parent-Child Sports Classes of InspiringHK! Sports TRYiumph Project:
3 Years of Empowering SEN Families
InspiringHK! Sports TRYiumph Project, co-funded by Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation and the Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged, and organised by IHKSports, has officially reached its three-year milestone.

Our Parent-Child Sports Classes are specifically designed to provide sports experiences for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their caregivers. Together, we’ve built a community of inclusion and resilience.
This year, our footprint expanded across five districts: Kwai Tsing, Yau Tsim Mong, Yuen Long, Southern District, and Tsuen Wan, bringing the joy of sports directly into the heart of our communities. Over the past three years, we have had the privilege of serving more than 850 parent-and-child participants, witnessing countless moments of growth and connection.
To ensure students experience the full spectrum of physical activity, this year’s curriculum remained incredibly diverse, including Karate, Pickleball, Yoga, Tag Rugby, and Juggling.
We want to express our gratitude to every parent and child who participated. Your laughter on the court is the reason we keep moving forward.

Love Shines Through the Rain: Celebrating Mother’s Day with “Heart of Gold” City Hunt
A mother’s love is unshaken by wind or rain. We saw that truth in action at our recently concluded “Heart of Gold” Mother’s Day City Hunt.
Despite the unsettled weather, nearly 180 adults and children gathered at Tamar Park in Admiralty with undampened enthusiasm. From word-puzzle relays to sit‑up trivia challenges that tested both body and mind, every parent‑child duo showed incredible teamwork. Watching families support each other through every challenge, sharing sweat and smiles, was the most heartfelt way to celebrate Mother’s Day.

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our Charitable Partner, Rita Ku & Ser. We are also deeply grateful to their team members who joined us as volunteers. Their dedication and energy brought immense joy to every family involved.
Finally, a huge thank you to all the families who joined us; your smiles were the most precious Mother’s Day gifts of all.

Empowering with Warmth: Building a “Home Away from Home”
At IHKSports, we believe that the well‑being of our team is the true engine behind our long‑term growth. To mark the International Day of Families, we prepared a small office surprise for our colleagues in their “home away from home”.
During a quick break, we quietly tucked our mascots—Dong Jai, Dong Mui, Dong Ba, and Dong Ma—into different corners of the office. Whether perched on a desk, nestled next to equipment, or hidden among everyday items, their presence added a splash of warmth and vitality to our usually focused workspace.

Seeing the genuine smiles on everyone’s faces lightened the entire office atmosphere. This simple interaction did more than just spark joy; it bridged the gap between departments and brought us closer together.
IHKSports remains committed to building an inclusive and nurturing workplace. Our goal is to let this internal positive energy blossom into a deep passion for serving underprivileged youth and promoting community sports, as we move forward together to create new possibilities.

The Greatest Gift: A Mother’s Quiet Pride
“I may not have the means to show my children the whole world, but thanks to IHKSports, their horizons have broadened. Seeing them happily share their sports experiences brings me so much comfort.” — Mrs. Chan, a parent from our Home SWEAT Home programme.
Living in a cramped subdivided flat with three children, Mrs. Chan worried about her 7-year-old son, Jin Jin, who was at an age where he needed space to run and grow. To help him break out of their 100-square-foot home, she enrolled him in our sports classes—a decision that soon transformed the entire family.
Not only did Jin Jin find his passion, but he also inspired his older brother, who was previously quiet and physically weaker, to join in. This year, the older brother joined our flagship programme, WELL DUNK!, receiving professional basketball training. Today, he is stronger, healthier, and full of energy!
Like every mother, Mrs. Chan’s heart is entirely focused on her children’s well-being. Ensuring their healthy growth is her greatest wish.
This Mother’s Day, we want to say a huge thank you to every mother. At IHKSports, we hope to continue providing families like Mrs. Chan’s with more than just sports—we provide the momentum to break through life’s challenges.
